“We want the outcome to be ‘yes,’” said Patrick. The organization, she said, wants bicyclists to come back to the door on their bikes so they can let them know they’re in a bike lane and they want to make sure they have some helpful tools to do it safely.

The Blue Bike Experience includes basic bicycle maintenance; general tips and knowledge for safe riding; and full assistance in changing a flat tire and having it fixed within 30 minutes. It also includes free bike insurance — insuring cyclists through Groupon Insurance Solutions — to cover insurance fees not covered by your existing insurance.

Be a part of the Make It Easy Ride by joining BikeATL at its kickoff event on Thursday, July 17, from 6 to 7 p.m. at NRG Station. The event includes the Blue Bike Experience, free bicycle insurance and a tour of Atlanta’s new bike lanes.

BikeATL is partnering with Groupon Insurance Solutions, a bicycle insurance provider, to offer a special bike-lane special for everyone who rides through the MAKE IT EASY Ride event. For $20 or less per person, you will have your own “Make It Easy” bicycle and insurance plan. Complete the online form to receive your plan.

Those who purchase insurance by July 31 will also be entered into a drawing for a “Make It Easy Ride” vacation.

Fans of the Atlanta Braves can use their “Make It Easy” bike ride to come to the Atlanta Braves Ballpark in Dunwoody and watch the Braves take on the San Francisco Giants on Friday, July 24. Tickets will be available at the cashier’s booth at 3:00 p.m.
